Tamsil: Journal of Islamic Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Adab, and Da'wah, Ternate State Islamic Institute (IAIN Ternate). The journal serves as an academic forum for the dissemination of original research and scholarly studies in the field of Islamic Studies.

Tamsil publishes research articles, conceptual studies, and critical scholarly works that examine Islam from historical, theological, philosophical, educational, legal, social, cultural, and interdisciplinary perspectives. The journal welcomes studies on Qur'an and Hadith, Islamic history and civilization, Islamic education, Islamic law, Islamic theology, Islamic philosophy, da'wah and communication, Islamic economics, and contemporary Islamic thought.

The journal also encourages research addressing the relationship between Islam and contemporary society, including local wisdom, Islamic culture, religious moderation, multiculturalism, social transformation, and the interaction between Islamic traditions and modernity. Particular attention is given to studies on Islam in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and other Muslim societies.
